Abstract
The camera development is so rapid, as evidenced by the camera facilities on smartphones with various types of quality. The quality of smartphone cameras is known to have high megapixels because it produces good photo quality. It is not uncommon for smartphone cameras to be used to capture product photos to support advertising. Having a smartphone camera with high megapixels is not enough, it must be accompanied by expertise in operating basic photography techniques to produce good product photos. On this occasion, the author conducted a community service socialization regarding the operation of basic photography techniques using a smartphone camera, to capture product photos to the UMKM Entrepreneurial Community of Lingga Asih Cirebon City. The results of field observations of members have not fully maximized smartphone cameras, especially in designing product photos in supporting advertising media. Problems found in the form of technical smartphone camera operations that are not optimized. This educational socialization aims to provide members with hard skills in the field of product photography to support product marketing on various digital platform. The socialization was delivered by giving lectures and direct practices. The socialization method uses a photography creation approach with the stages of exploration, experimentation and final implementation.
